The prices on home inspections can vary depending on the size and age of the home. Along with each inspection I will also look at the home using thermal imaging to look for moisture intrusions and insulation issues (hot/cold spots) and overheating issues at the electrical panel. This is typically an additional charge by most inspectors but I include it with each inspection. Thermal imaging is a critical component of an inspection as it can detect many issues that can go undetected by a visual surface inspection.
The prices of a General Home Inspection are:
$300 for homes between 500-3000 sq ft.
$350 for homes between 3001-4000 sq ft.
Homes larger than 4000 sq ft. will need evaluated for pricing. Typically, the cost of an inspection will increase $50 per additional 500 sq ft of the home, but there are exceptions.
(Such as numerous out buildings or problematic foreclosures)
The preferred method of payment is cash or check. Credit cards are accepted (Visa/Mastercard/Discover/Amex). If using a credit card there will be an additional processing fee. Payment is due on the date of the inspection.
